Click the jpg option to download and choose desktop (easy to find) and save.

Then go to your 360 page http://360.yahoo.com

If you want  to start a 360 page use this link http://360.yahoo.com/login.html?.done=ht...

click "my page" then "edit personal photo" then browse upload from desktop and save Set as primary. and save. go to your avatar choose your avatar>preview>OK.  

Note. If required you can crop to shape the avatar before you upload to your 360 page. go to the link below for easy to use on line cropping tool.

Great question and easy to follow answer from Edward.

One problem though..why isn't my avatar long. Everything else worked, I did lengthen it but perhaps the crop is needed more so, before extra length.
