Something weird happened to my laptop so I shut it down. When I turned i back on the font for everything was huge. I checked in settings and advanced settings and both say its normal.

Is their any other way to make the font size go back to normal?

  1. For something like this, you really should give more information about what operating system you are using. Chances are you're using Windows XP so I'll have to give those directions.

    - Right-click the desktop

    - Click 'Properties...'

    - Under the 'Appearance' tab make sure the font size is normal.

    If that doesn't work:

    - Right-click the desktop

    - Click 'Properties...'

    - Click on the 'Settings' tab (upper right)

    - Click on the 'Advanced' button (towards the bottom right)

    - Make sure that the DPI settings are normal. If it already says that it's normal, you could use a custom DPI to compensate.

If for some reason that's not the problem, just double-check that you are using the highest screen resolution.

Finally, if nothing works, do a System Restore to before you first noticed the problem. (From memory: Start menu, All Programs, Accessories, System tools, System Restore)

  2. Assuming you have xp, try this:

    click start

    click control panel

    click display

    go to appearance

    under fontsize, choose normal

    click ok
