Question:

How do I make my earring hole reopen a bit more?

I haven't worn earrings since about 6 months and the holes have closed a bit. So, I tried wearing some earrings but then only the thinner posts go through, but not the thicker ones - which is what I need. I tried wearing the earrings with the thinner ones for a couple of days and then try. But it's all the same.

By the way. I got my ears pierced when I was 8. And that was 8 years ago. And till 6 months ago I used to wear earrings regularly.

  1. yes

  2. wear  heavy dangly earrings  wth  thin posts!

  3. I THINK YOU CAN USE A THUMBTACK OR NEEDLE TO OPEN THE HOLE A BIT MORE. OR YOU CAN GO PIERCE YOUR EARS AGAIN. MAYBE YOUR EARS ARE INFECTED FROM A EARRING MATERIAL.

    WELL GOOD LUCK

  4. use a clear filler

  5. what worked for me was the pair or ear studs which was used to pierce the earholes. i re-inserted the ear studs and cared for it like i would a new piercing. The posts are rather thick and they are sharp at the ends. They are the kind that are used witha piercing gun.

  6. Hot shower, and use some lube

    Don't force it though.

You can also go to a piercer, and get them tapered open. I wouldn't do that yourself though, as I'm guessing you don't know the gauge?
