How do I make my face clear, and KEEP it that way with little effort and cash?

I have plenty of breakouts, some ranging from 3-5 times a month! i try my best to keep my face clean, but i must be doing something wrong because my face just wont stay clear for long. Also, it gets very oily and i get big red bumps around my chin. Please, any suggestions on keeping my face clear and glistening? Also product recommendations!

  1. Go to a dermatologist. They can prescribe Tetracycline. With medical insurance, it's probably $10 for the medication. It's a pill you take twice a day usually, and it will make your skin clear. Your doctor can prescribe you medications that will work for your skin.  


  2. just always wipe your face off with a hot wet towel whenever you work out. and also when you shower make sure to get even your face when using soap. and if you have to shave your face NEVER DRY SHAVE!!!! IT MESSES THINGS UP AND HURTS LIKE h**l!!!! and leaves major acne after it.

  3. My brother had acne pretty bad; he used lemon juice (fresh lemons) on a regular basis and it kept his face really clear.

    Interesting how many natural remedies there are...almost like Someone knew what He was doing when He built the place. ;)

  4. LEMON JUice apply before bed every night when you wake up rinse yuor face...

  5. - Wash your face 2x a day (except right before/after you get in the shower, there's no need to). A gentle bar soap is good enough. Clearasil?

    - You may want to try a scrub... St. Ive's Apricot Scrub, about $6, Wal-Mart. I use it 2x a week.

    - Facial. I use Clean & Clear In-Shower Facial 1x a week. Only takes an extra minute, literally.

    Those products should keep the overall health of your skin good.  As long as your skin isn't very dry, for spot treatments, you may want to try rubbing alcohol, just dab it on a tissue & hold it to the zit, it dries it out.  Also make sure you're removing all of your makeup, it clogs pores, and don't use too too much of it.

    Whatever you do, just don't use ProActiv, for most people, it burns their skin instead of hepling them.

  8. I use to have my face like yours. What you should use is Clean & Clear they sell them at Wal-mart. Use it every night and about 3 days your face will be clear. Guarantee. Don't forget to use it every night. Also is not that expensive.

  9. There isn't a miracle cure for acne. yet. Even though i haven't tried them, I'm fairly skeptic about brand name products like clean&clear or proactive. I guess it just depends on your body type

    Some ways you can help prevent acne is to eat less sugar, drink plenty of water, and to wash your face when you take showers.

  10. Your eating habits hardly have anything to do with acne. You eating sugar cannot clog your dead skin cells. The best thing to do is mix baking soda with water and scrub, to exfoliate your face and apply an spf suncreen (not sunblock)/moisturizer to the face before going outside.  

  11. I have struggled alot with my zits too. i honestly have been trying everything since i was 12. I suggest Nutragina Wave. It really worked for me within the first week =D i also come from a family with oily skin and even my sister tries to steal the wave cuz it works for her too. yea ik i sound like a commercial but its true!

  13. hmmm i have those too. i so feel your pain. im going to order proactiv now. but what i usually do is use an exfoliatng clenser in the morning

    and then at night i use the neatrongena acne wash

    i wait for like 5 minutes

    then apply neatrogena spot elimintating gel

    when u wake up

    voila ur face is so betterr

  15. Eat right, wash your face every night with a gentle cleanser, mid week wash your face with a scrub, and drink plenty of water/

  16. a cheap brand that has consistently good products is neutrogena.  you have to be very consistent, 3 step process morning and evening.

    drinking a lot of water helps as well
