Question:

How do I make my hair 'fluffed' up at the back without it looking messy?

When I have my hair down, it looks kinda flat at the back (i guess i was born that way) and it makes my head look awful. So.. i was wondering how to have it more curved at the back and more volume added. I have tried backcombing but it is a nightmare to comb out afterwards. Any tips?

  1. you can apply a bit of hair concrete on ur balms

and run through your hair with the concrete...push your hair from the bottom to the top to increase volume

and take a few strands of hair

    twist the tip

It will look a bit more fluffy than usual

But get hair concrete. not hair jell

    GOOD LUCK

  2. Make sure you use a good conditioner on your hair, and tease a layer under your hair, so it's not noticeable. Use a good hairspray, but use a lighter hold, not the firmer holds because it will be horrid to get out.

  3. Uhm, maybe you should try teasing it. It's when you get your comb and put it though your hair up and down. It's helped me.

Or is that the same as backcoming it? lol

  4. if you want your hair to have more volume this is what you should do:

1: when you get out of the shower and want to blowdry your hair,do it in small sections with a big round brush with venting holes. Doing this will add extra volume.

2: Once its dry try spraying it with some kind of volume lifting spray. You can get them at your local hair salon. Doing that should add some extra poof to your hair.

  5. either put a roller at the top just at the crown of the head or if u like it wavy (which is in style right now) then fluff it up with ur fingers when its wet

  6. get layers and use styling aids to add volume. blowdry upside down too.

  7. flip your hair down and blowdry it with you're head facing the floor, then when it's dry flip it back. should be pretty puffy.

  8. Kind of rake your fingers through it. um... like you would if you were scratching your head very vigorously.

  9. section the back of your hair into flat, 1-2 inch pieces.  liberally apply hairspray.  without flipping your hair over, flat iron the pieces towards the front of your head.  repeat this step with another 2 or 3 chunks of hair.  use a comb to GENTLY flip the hair back.  don't really comb it, just kind of smooth it.  secure with bobby pins and/or hairspray all over for hold.

in the video, she teases her hair after straightening (i assume thats what you mean by backcombing?), but i omit this step.  i compensate by using a little extra hairspray.

  10. Look on Google search!!!!!

  11. Blow dry it upside down, adds volume everywhere. Then a little hair spray to keep it looking that way.

  12. just take some hairspray and put a little in the back

then just push your hair up with your hands

add a little bit more hairspray (so it will hold)

then your good to go =]

    hope i help

  13. first, take one layer of hair off the back of your head and clip it up. then tease the part underneath the clipped up part. when you're done, unclip the top part and put it back where it should, so your hair is big but still sleek
