How do I make my hair flat (I'm a guy)?

My hair looks so messy and it spikes up on its own. how can i make my hair falt. Also how do I keep it that way forever, and I have super thick hair strands so it is hard to keep it flat. Thanks!

A good way to keep it flat is to straighten it. Or go to the salon and get a relaxer.

If you feel like going down that route, you can flat iron it so it goes down, then spray it with a good hairspray like got2be or a Pantene hairspray. It should stay down all day. But, if you don't feel like straightening it to make it go down, you could simply use gel or styling wax (trust me, styling wax is better for your hair and less damaging...gel can really clog the hair's pores) and smooth it down. Remember to use hairspray to keep it down because the wax or gel on its own might not be enough!
