How do I make my image less than 8KB??

Question

I have a few images I would like to change the file size of to less than 8 KB, I have tried just resizing the picture, but it makes no difference to the size of the FILE.

Please help =)

If you have photoshop save the image and choose the quality as 10 instead of 12 and it will make the size of the file smaller, or you could compress the image
