Question:

How do I make my leather couch shiny and slick?

I bought an off-lease black leather couch and love seat and I've found that the part that's sat on feels sticky and looks slightly dull. Other, more unused, portions of the couch feel slick and look shiny.

The slick and shiny is what I'm after. I have tried leather conditioner but didn't help make the leather feel the way I want it to. How do I make my couch feel slick and look shiny?

  1. I use both baby oil and leather conditioning wipes, which are available at any grocery store or major discount retail chain!  I have posted their website for you, below!  Good luck!

  2. dab of baby oil

  3. If the area is diffferent to the rest of the suite and feels slightly sticky then it is probably because the finish has been removed from that area of the leather.  This is usually caused by using the wrong type of care products and often happens when baby wipes are used.

Please do not add any oils to this as the problem may be made unfixable.

You need to replace the pigment and finish  to this area to return it to how the rest of the leather looks and feels and this may be best left ot a qualified leather technician.

Adding household products will probably only make the matter much worse and could mean that the finiahs cannot be reapplied so it is best not to try all sorts of other suggestions.

  4. Try some SON OF A GUN.........It should pop the color back but you don't want it to be SLICK.....
