How do I make my new barrel horse go the speed I want her to go?

i just bought i new horse that is a 2d or 3d barrel horse. she is an awsome horse and that's why i would hate to sell her. she is really fast, but i'm not ready to go that fast yet. And when i try to make her slow down she throws her head. I am 13 years old and i've been ridin for 1 or 2 years but my confedince is really low. so if anybody can give me any advice on barrel racing or just riding I would appriciate it! Thanks!

When she throws her head up try to see if a tie down will work. You can find a tie down normally at a tack store or anything like that. My advice about her going fast is to slowly walk her around the barrels. If that doesn't work get off of her and lead her around each barrel a few times at lease until she settles down and listens to you.

start out slow then a little faster and so on. it will help you and you horse
