  1. heres what you do

    stuff it

  2. joanne fabrics has kits on making pillows. i hope he likes his present!

  3. Here is a web-site that should help. You don't say if you can sew or have a sewing machine. You can do a search for "decorative pillow patterns" Stores like Joann Fabric and Crafts sometimes offer lessons on making things like pillows.

    Hope this helps.

  4. To make a pillow, you must buy at least a yard of cloth depending on the size you want.

(one yard of cloth typically makes a small couch pillow)

Before you do anything else, sew his name onto the pillow. It is up to you where you sew it. .

Fold the cloth in half and use either a sewing machine or your hand to stich up the sides.

(Do not sew the edge that is folded and leave one side open so you can stuff it.)

leave one side open to the point that you can fit your hand inside to put stuffing in. I reccomend using cotton or polysester, but it depends on what you like. refer to a craft store such as Michaels, Joannes etc. to learn what is best for you.

grab small amounts of stuffing for the outside of the pillow and larger amounts for the center.

Stuff until it has a puffiness and height that you like. Then enjoy. Making pillows is fun! Dont let it stress you out if it is not perfect the first time.

  5. At most craft stores you can also find fabric that you can use in your printer so you can put picture you want on it. Then you can just sew that in/on and make the pillow out of that.

  6. You can go to any craft store like MIchaels, or Joann Fabrics, and normally find a kit that you can stuff your own pillow. :] I'd give that a try.

  7. go to a craft store and buy some fabric and cotton.

sew it then stuff the cotton in. and i don't know how to put the picture on it but yeah.

  8. I would look online to see how others do it, then sketch out what you want it to look like, then draft a pattern.

    This is a neat pillow!

  9. You can get a kit from a fabric or hobby shop.  You can also do the following:

    Materials:

    fabric of your choice

newspaper or plane, large butcher paper

    sewing pens

sewing needles (or a sewing machine if you have one)

    thread to match the fabric

stuffing material (can be cotton or material bought at a hobby shop)

    scissors

    a picture

    cardboard

                                   Making Patterns

    1.  Figure out how big you want your pillow.

    2.  draw the pillow on the paper ... about 1/2 inch to an inch larger than you want the pillow to be.

    3.  get your picture and place it on the cardboard.  Trace on the cardboard, around the picture.

                                         Cutting the patterns

    4.  Cut the pillow pattern from the newspaper.

    5.  Cut the pattern on the cardboard (This will help support your picture)

                                              Making the pillow

    6.  place the fabric on your table.  Place the pillow pattern you cut from the newspaper onto the fabric and pin them together. Make sure you have enough fabric for your picture.

    7.  cut out the pillow pattern.  Take out the pins.

    8.  put the fabric together, with the nice side on the inside.

    9.  stitch the pillow together on three sides.

    10. turn the pillow right side out with the nice design on the outside.

    11.  Stuff the pillow with the cotton or stuffing material.

    12.  finish sewing up the pillow.

                                      The Picture

Be patient on this one.  I'm using my imagination here.  I've seen something similar on stuffed animals.  :)

    1.  The cardboard will be used as a back piece to support your picture.

    2.  Place the cardboard on the newspaper and  draw a pattern about 1/2 inch away from the edges of the cardboard.

    3.  Place the pattern onto the fabric, pin and cut as you did before with the pillow.

    4.  Take out the pins and newspaper from the fabric after cutting.

    5.  Glue your picture onto the cardboard.

    6.  Glue the cardboard onto the middle of the fabric, on the inside side of the fabric.

    7.  Double fold the fabric around the picture so the ends will not show, and the nice side of the fabric will show around the picture.

    8.  Lightly glue the material around the picture.

    9.  Now, your picture should look like a picture inside a little material frame.

    10.    Figure out where you want the picture on the pillow.

    11.    Glue the picture onto the pillow.

Well, I hope that works.  Good luck!  I hope he likes it.  : )
