  1. Try Using Big Rollers

  2. flat irons are so bad for tour hair

  3. try the kiyoseki hair straightener, or tease it a bit along your part

  4. i had the same exact problem, if you want to have volume go to walmart and if you want to buy a cheap product that works well, buy the suave root lifter ( its about 2 dollars) in a purple spray bottle. it lifts up your roots and makes your hair more volumized. Also try the sheer volume hair stuff from john frieda(it works REALLY good) and its not that expensive. hope this helped! =)

  5. you should try to add volume WHILE you're straightening it, with hairspray, thats how a lot of people try to get volume. you can also get volume before straightening your hair (you should use garnier fructis XXL volume, its good). also, when you shower before you straighten it, shampoo AFTER you condition! it helps! (:

  6. Straightening hair kind of defeats the object of volume as it's a sleek look. You can get some height in the roots by lifting as you dry before straightening but straighteners are not intended to create volume, quite the opposite.

  7. After straightening, take a brush (any kind can be find) and take pieces of hair you'll like to add volume to, brush that piece of hair away from your face, and then let it fall down. You'll notice it has a lot more volume than before. You can also tease your roots, shake your hair around, or use some styling products.

Here's some websites for more tips:

To add more volume. Buy a volumizer and add to damp hair after washing. And when going to sleep, but your hair in a high bun so it mantains volume and your straightness.

  8. flip your head upside and blast your roots with a hair dryer for a few seconds (this will also help "set" the rest of your hair so it stays straight), and you could use a little bit of hair spray on your roots too if you like

  9. try putting in some rollers, the old fashion rollers lol, for about at least half an hour then put some styling product to hold it...one preferrably that it is specifically for volume

  10. Put a volumizing mousse in the roots area and tease.  Try to avoid flat ironing the roots area if possible.

  11. back-combing, or teasing your hair with hairspray.

  12. Wow, eh bed head
