  1. Um, Jumping J, what product are you hawking? Look, I'm all about free market but when someone comes on and asks an honest question and you start making claims and posting web addresses for products for sale and you didn't even endorse the product, that screams sales guy to me.

In answer to your question, are you looking for overall height or quickness off the ground?

  2. Plyometrics

Normally you can do this with stuff around the house. Jump up to boxes, jump down. Repeat a bunch, try to do a cycle every 2 seconds or so. Jump with one foot at a time, jump to higher boxes, etc...

Not only will you be increasing your muscle mass, but also your motor recruitment. Meaning, you will use more of your muscle in a shorter amount of time. This results in the explosive power you need to jump high.

Just google plyometrics, there's tons of stuff out there on it. Just be careful because it's easy to get injured if you do it incorrectly.

  3. Well, if you've tried a lot of things, you've probably tried some of the right things, so forgive me if this is old advice...

Get in the weightroom and start squatting and deadlifting. In case you think or you've heard that heavy lifting doesn't help jumping, it does if you do it the right way, which is explosively. Every rep should be completed as quickly as possible. That way you train your muscles not only to apply more force but to develop that force quickly for use in jumping. There's a good explanation here http://jumphighest.blogspot.com

If you develop a good base of strength, plyometric training, which I'm sure you've heard of or tried before, becomes very effective.

    Some tips...

Do not overtrain. Every rep completed after your performance starts to decline is training endurance more than maximum power.

Get a lot of rest. Two really good workouts every week is usually a good approach to jump training. Maybe three if you are only weight training.

Eat well. Your body needs fuel for completing those workouts and materials for building muscle.

  4. tried doing more lunges, it works out your leg muscle therefore strengthening it making you jump higher, learn the correct form of jumping and try whatever workout that works out your leg muscles, that should do it

  5. I'd love to help you with this problem. for some reason this program works extremely well both for me, and all the people i've ever shared with in real life and here on answers.

i've seen some good results with this:

    wall sits

    regular jumping

    net touches

    squats/hands on head

    '', hands in front

    squats holding a weight plate

    squats with bar behind head

    ankle weights with jump rope

    tip toe raises

    power rebounds

    palms on ceiling

i found most of this online
