How do I make myself mad?

I know that sounds silly but when I play basketball that's my motivation to playing really good. What are some things I can think about to make me mad. And what are some workouts that can help me get better? I have a hard time pushing myself to doing stuff. I'm really lazy. I'm so dedicated to playing basketball but I'll do like 100 pushups 3 days in a row and then i'll stop and quit and then do them another time. WHat can I do to push myself to just do somthing? I sit around the house and do nothing. Right now I could be running around the block but I'm not motivated and i'm just lazy. I mean if I just get up and go do it I'll do it but if I talk about doing it that is my only problem. If just get up right now and started running i'll be on my way. I don't know what I should do help me out.

  2. It sounds like you are just not "hungry" enough to be a real athlete. Many people might have some physical skills, but if they don't have the desire and the self-discipline to go out and pursue it whole-heartedly, then they will just fizzle out as you are doing. You claim you are dedicated to basketball, but you aren't, or else you wouldn't need outside motivation to get going on what you know you need to do. You must have led a pretty spoiled life up to now, never really having to do anything for yourself. Grow up! The person you will have to get mad at is yourself. Or as Pogo said, We have met the enemy and he is us.

  3. To get on a routine for working out you should join some class so you actually have to go. If it isn't a scheduled time then most people blow off exercise. That's what I did when I was trying to get in shape for my high school tryouts. As far as getting mad I always try to pick a fight with the player I'm guarding by nudging them and never letting them get around me. It really pisses them off and it gets you fired up, and makes for a more interesting game.

  8. remind yourself of people that told you that you wouldnt be good at basketball, or wouldnt ever amount to anything.

    just basicly reminding yourself of non-possitive things that were said about you.

    about motivation to work, do a very small hoops workout every day, and with body building, work a different part each day.

    how about this:

    monday: shouldars

    tuesday:pecs

    wendnesday: vertical

    thursday: biceps

    friday: legs

    saturday: abs

    sunday: break day

    just half an hour to an hour with everything (bball and building.), or else you'll get un-motivated

    going to a gym really helps.  commit to staying for half an hour, and then it just gets fun.

  11. you can sign up at a gym and ask your parents to pick you up at a certain time so you have no choice unless you want to look like a weirdo, if your too lazy to go tell your parents to force you, you can also watch good mixes of your fav. players on you tube to pump yourself up, and if you want to anger your self think of a time you argued with someone and you got wicked pissed off then just keep thinking about it until your on your way

  12. FOCUS....not mad cauz dat usually dosent work if things dont work even if you are mad. Well im assuming u want 2 make it as a decent bball player. Set goals 4 urself and try 2 beat dem. U also have 2 reall want 2 make urself better.

  13. When you play against others, try to push yourself to stop them from scoring on you. If they score, use that as your motivation to stop him from scoring.

    1. the desire to be better than everyone else

    2. wanted to go all out and impress when girls were watching lol

    3. really being angry about something someone said or did

    4. failure. when I'm bad at something I'm motivated for a long time to do better

    5. boredom. when I'm bored there's nothing better to do so I work out

    You should tell your parents to not let you wuss out, tell them to get on you every day to workout, run, practice basketball

    Good basketball workouts would be like imagining someone is guarding you and doing a specific move on him over and over and over again. And work on reverse layups and finishing around the basket, and do nothing but shoot for like 20 minutes a day.
