I am having a bit of trouble and was feeling a little down about it earlier but I am will try harder by finding better ways to market myself.

I am 23. I have 2.5 years call center experience. I have 5 months experience as a marketing intern. I have 2 months experience as a training specialist. Also when I was in high school, I worked in a hotel has a server and a cashier in the grocery store. I have a BA in Journalism and Mass Communication (majored in advertising and minored in graphic design). I am working on an MBA with a concentration in Information Systems. I am proficient in MS office and Adobe Creative Suite. I want to work in training/development or marketing/pr. What else can I do to become more marketable?

  1. It is a big accomplishment to have a BA and the amount of work experience you have.  I think you are very marketable already.  Draw up a good resume and answer interview questions truthfully.  Ask your references' permission in advance of putting their names on your resume, so that if a prospective employer contacts them, they will give you good reviews.

One suggestion I might offer is to ask questions at the interview, i.e., what does the job entail exactly, what training opportunities might there be within the organization, etc.

    Good luck.
