Question:

How do I make only a part of my photo color? ZoomBrowser EX, HP Gallery, or Memory Manager 2

I know that this question has been asked a lot, but i can't find it for my programs..

So, how do you make your picture black and white, but one object in color?

I really don't want to download a new program or go out and buy one, I already have ZoomBrowser EX, HP Gallery/Director, and Memory Manager 2. So what are some easy, but effective ways to make the picture black and white but one spot in color???

Any helpful answers are very much appreciated, thanks =]

  1. I'll be honest I'm not familiar with the programs you have but I do a way to achieve the effect your looking for if your programs have the capability (which a lot do).

The first step would be to select the part(s) of the picture you want to remain in color.  Then either cut/paste or copy them into a seperate canvas.

Next grayscale the rest of the picture.

Third (depending on your program's abilities) reselect the parts you saved in color and drop them back into the picture.

When your down merge the layers.

You could also do the reverse and cut/copy the parts you want grayscaled and then drop those onto the color photo.  Either way I'd would try to make the edges as clean as possible.  Hope that helps.
