  1. You can't - they are both inanimate objects and no amount of training will get them to obey you.  I would drink it all myself if I were you......................

  2. This is only going to be a partial answer as I am not familiar with a "sugar and vanilla" drink - is this milk based ?

I will suggest though that if when you make it do not use commercial Vanilla Extract, make your own or better yet make your own "Vanilla Sugar".

The Vanilla Extract on the shelves at the local grocer often contains Propolyne Glycol - theoretically safe but not something you want to be consuming (in the perfuming industry we use it to make Incense).

A healthier alternative is to get a fresh vanilla bean and make your own. Locally you can find them at places like Trader Joes or any grocer that carries a good assortment of exotic and organic foods. The softer the bean the better/fresher.

For Vanilla Extract take 2 or 3 vanilla beans and slit the pod lengthwise so the beans inside are showing. Place in a glass flask (pint) of vodka and leave it to steep for 2 or 3 weeks (turning gently every day).

    That's it.

You can add more beans and Vodka over time to keep it going.

For Vanilla Sugar do basically the same.

With a tightly covered container (probably not plastic, too absorbent) fill halfway with white sugar and place the opened bean then cover with more sugar. No need to disturb it, just give it time for the flavor to spread ( a week or two) and keep it dry. You can continually add more sugar (remove bean stir and replace bean) to keep a continous supply - replacing the bean/s when the flavor starts to fade.

Hope that was helpful. Way more fun than using the crummy commercial stuff.

    Just place the beans

  3. Use Vanilla and Gomme Flavouring syrups. The Gomme is a pure sugar cane syrup. They are normally used to make cocktails.

I would advise adding them to a drink as flavourings tho - and not on their own as they are from concentrate.
