How do I make sure nobody sees pictures of my baby but my friends on Facebook?

I'm having my first baby soon :) and I want to share the pics with family who live far away on FB right away. But I don't want everyone in my network seeing the pics, and I don't want friends of friends seeing the pics, even when they comment on the photos.In short, I don't want anyone I don't know seeing my child!

I think I may know how to do this, but I find the privacy options on FB a little confusing sometimes- how do I do this?

Should I be careful of applications- can some compromise security options?

When you upload your photo, there will be options about who can see the pictures. These include "Everybody", "Everybody in my Network," "Friends of Friends," or just "Friends." Select the last one, and nobody except your friends will see your baby!

You can go to your privacy settings - click on Profile - then about half way down you'll see a link that says "edit photo album privacy settings"  Click that and then by album you can select friends only or any other option you want.  Then just save it.

Create the album where you will upload the pictures to. Under it you can set the privacy options. Select "customize" UNCHECK "everyone on facebook" and select "some friends" and then specify the friends you want to be able to see it.
