How do I make the monitor brighter on my laptop?

It's a dell if that makes a difference. I looked in the control panel and I couldn't find anything and I don't see any buttons on the monitor itself.

you can google it or go to the dell website google will probably work

It is a function on your keyboard, something like FN, hold it and adjust another key to increase/decrease the brightness.
