How do I make the perfect Lasanga noodles?

I dont know how long to boil them, some say only put into soak in hot water, then some say put them on wax paper so they dont rip?? Help me I am making Lasagna for the first time!!

At the cooking school I go to we actually use the "no boil" noodles, but do boil them for 10-12 minutes to (a) make them more pliable and easier to work with and (b) reduce the cooking time necessary for baking the entire dish.
