  1. Congrats on realizing that anyone can make a difference! Good job on the picking up trash thing. This website www.enviroteens.com has lots of ideas for teens to help the environment, and other ways to make a difference. It sounds perfect for you!

  2. Recycling is a great thing and picking up trash is spectacular.  If you live in Idaho, check out river helpers.com.  you can have fun and do a great thing on the Boise river.  They clean up trash all summer long.  We have a blast doing it to.  Being a positive roll model for your friends, teaching others about not littering and about recycling.  Putting together a neighborhood recycling program.  Try to get some of your friends involved.  Good luck and good job.

  3. Congratulations and great job in taking action. There are so many others that you can do that I'll probably run out of space if I name them all. There are many web sites, especially if you search it on google and also other websites that help out the world with you just clicking on it. Your donation is your time but not your money! Here are some there are like that:

    www.care2.com

    www.jogogreen.com

    www.freerice.com

    www.thechildhealthsite.com

    ...and many others.

    Good Luck!

  5. You change the world with one Act of Random Kindness at a time.

  6. Picking up trash around your neighborhood is a terrific start.  Doing your part is a key factor in making mother earth happy.  Make sure you also recycle.

When you're 18, register to vote -- and vote.  Voting is essential to making the world a better place.  Not to sound like a commercial, but your vote could be the tiebreaker for president someday, one vote is all it takes.  And, who knows?  With your mindset at thirteen, you could BE president someday!

One more important thing to remember in making the world a better place is be kind to everybody.  If everyone had a better attitude, things would be a little better -- not so tense.  Morality is hard to come by these days.

Best of luck to you on your world-improving journey!  I look forward to seeing you on the ballot!

Besides recycling the plastic containers, you can improve your work or home environments by bringing live potted plants indoors.

    Major items needed:

One empty plastic gallon container.   Tree Top Apple Juice is preferred, or equal in shape.

One empty plastic ½ gallon container.  Langers All Pomergranate Juice is preferred or equal.

Directions:  Lay the plastic gallon container on its side so the front label is facing up.  Place the empty plastic half gallon container on the label and with a sharpie pen outline the bottom on the Tree Top label and with a sharp knife carefully cut the outline.  Insert the half gallon into the hole until it rest on the back label of the gallon container.  Then mark and cut approximately one inch above the cut on the ½ gallon  to complete your planter container.  Remove and drill several ¼ inch holes on the bottom of the ½ gallon cut container for drainage.

Fill the cut ½ gallon planter with one inch of gravel before putting in good potting mix soil and live growing plant.  If you make two or more you can pour the water back and forth and not waste the water with the nutrients.

Go to NASA’s Clean Air Plant Study for the top ten plants that cleans the indoor air better than the rest.   http://www.zone10.com/tech/NASA/Fyh.htm

  8. Wow this is really nice...keep going. You can also do something for environment like plant trees .This will not only make the place more BEAUTIFUL but Pollution free....

  9. congratulations on being a worthy and well intentioned youth.

Hopefully your act(s) will not go unnoticed or later unrewarded.

why not suggest to school /local council etc that more  should be done to eradicate this problem. Perhaps a weekly local walk by neighbours in each street  starting with a monthly one where all in a street go outside and pick up all the rubbish they can see.

this unfortunately cannot work unless ( due to human nature) there is some sort of Prize given, such as a free draw to all who take part. Funding can be asked for from  local businesses etc. do keep up the good work .
