I am laying out a newsletter page with 3 very different photos. How do I make them look cohesive? They look so detached from each other.

Picture 1: Outdoor snap shot of a casual couple facing each other.

Picture 2: Studio photograph of a professional couple facing the camera.

Picture 3: Studio photograph that has been toned a slight yellow. Subjects are casual.

Should I filter them in Photoshop? I have Illustrator and InDesign too.

  1. try to visit on photoshop  then there are people to help you

  2. Are you doing this newsletter as a one time thing or on a regular basis? If this is something you are doing for a business, tell them that the photos don't work together- but you have a great idea for art. Then find some art that conveys the same theme they are seeking, but that mesh. Whenever I design something, if it looks bad, I tactfully explain to the customer a better way of doing it. Find out what message they are trying to convey, and figure out how you can get that across, but have it be visually pleasing. You are the designer, if they could design it, they would, they are paying for your knowledge. If it turns out that the customer is just one of those that lack taste and just want what they want, then just do it- you will run across many like that in your career and even though it makes me cringe, sometimes there is nothing you can do.
