Hi everyone, just kicked off our webpage and looking to make a move towards the top of the rankings if possible.
What we’ve done is put together the world’s greatest bubblegum blowers and created what we think is the greatest bubblegum blowing contest ever, one totally different from all others. One made by bubble blowers for bubble blowers, rather than one made by bubblegum companies to advertise the bubblegum company. There is a world of difference.
We’ve got the contest up and running 8-8-08, just in time for bubblegum’s 80th birthday. Our url is www.bubblegumheaven.com, and the contest is called the BUBBLEGUM WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP.
Now we’ve had a presence on myspace called "bubblegum heaven" and we had the URL pointed there. This took this website to the number 1 position of a google search made with the words bubblegum and heaven. Currently its in the number ten spot.
We then changed the URL bubblegumheaven.com to point at the BUBBLEGUM WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP page and since we’ve done that that site has climbed to the number 10 position on google under a search with the words "bubblegum heaven" (but not with the quotation marks). I’d like to see it climb into the number one position there, but that’s not really what I’m writing about.
What we really want to see is this site start to make a run towards the top when a search with the word bubblegum (and the words bubble and gum) is made. Currently I don't even see it listed anywhere under a search for "bubblegum."
We feel that we are the authorities in the field when it comes to what the product was created for, what makes it famous, tremendously successful and loved all over the world and what sets it apart from all other products, it’s ability to blow big bubbles, and that our group not only has the credentials to prove it but they are also the creators of it’s greatest contest.
In other words, it should have a great google ranking, and it would kind of be a disservice if it didn’t. (Actually, it’s really kind of fascinating (amazing?) to look at what else ranks near the top of a search under bubblegum heaven, and see just how little what is there actually has to do with actual bubblegum).
Does anyone have any comments or suggestions on this?
