How do I make ugly bushes mysteriously die?

I have these god awful bushes around my home. They have been let go for so long that pruning hasn't made them look better. I want them gone so bad but my landlord likes them. How can I make them slowly one by one die off. Has to be done in a way that she wont figure out. I know my landlord and she would have the soil tested and whatever else she can test to see why they died. Any ideas would be welcomed.

TRIOX- Get it at lowe's or walmart. It will kill just about anything relatively quick. Also - it's not a residual. Meaning that it wouldn't show up in a soil test.

Use Round-Up on the bush itself. It will not show up in the soil.

another thing................you might not want to do anything to them. If she figures it out.........that might be bad for you since you rent out her house.

Just keep them trimmed low.

not worth it----just leave them alone

Bleach would kill them, but would show up in a soil test.

Maybe someone could "steal" them.  Yank them out and get rid of them.

Harming the bushes because you don't like them would be considered property damage and could get you in trouble. They are not your bushes to destroy. Just keep them trimmed and move on.
