  1. It's not about whether you're willing or not, it's how well you can take tests and how well you can study for them, or at least prepare.  Depending on where you go to school, looking back 2 years to highschool for me, i did most of my homework at school, and at home i had time to study and time to play[tv, extra sleep].  Take practice exams to see where your weak points are, and then focus on those areas.  I did a lot of reading before my sat's so my reading speed and level would be kicked up a notch.  I can read about 7-800 words a minute now, which saves time.  You should do the same.  30-40 minutes a day spent reading is what you need to do.  Math = just do problems.  Same thing for the grammar and verbal sections.  The reading will help with that, just have to read mature books.  I read common sense, some doyle, and late a night i breazed through harry potter books...they got me to sleep fast.  Getting a 2400 is possible, but is it likely, probably not.  Sats are important, but for college try to diversify yourself in other ways, do some volunteer work, situated around the field in which you want to study, and take classes oriented to that field as well.  COlleges do take note of it.  I
