A member has sent a spam message to all of us, and I will like to be manually marked as spam (by me) so when another mail he sends is automatically checked and put on pending.

  1. Click members left column of your home page find him.   click edit scroll down to where it says use current group settings click edit   In the new window scroll down tick  messages posted by this member are moderated  click save changes.  Edit:  Another thought if he contributes nothing to your group just ban him.

  2. You did not mention if you are the group owner or moderator so that will affect what you can do. If you are one of those, do as these others have suggested and either moderate their emails or remove them from the group. In my group, that is one of the rules that go out to all new members. Anything that is definitely spam like the fake lottery emails or the enlargement etc...they get removed immediately.

If you are simply a member of the group, you would need to contact the owner or moderator and ask them to deal with this person. I hope that if you are a member, that the owner/moderators are still active in running the group! Otherwise, nothing will be done, in which case I would just start my own group and invite members of the group you are in before removing yourself from that group!

  3. Yahoo's group spam filter doesn't work well, you're better of removing the member as suggested, or moderated their posts. there really is no spam tagging feature.

stay moderated/ unmoderated until you individually reset each one and here's how (this is also how you'd moderate a member who needs it)

locate said member is members list- click edit membership below their ID- Posting Messages: Override: This member's posts are not moderated (Edit) <-- click the edit

    next page choose

    * Messages posted by this member are not moderated.

    * Messages posted by this member are moderated.

    click save changes
