How do I measure for a backyard pool?

I want to put a portable pool in a small space. The pool is 15x42. Is the 15 the diamater of the pool or do I need to cut the diamater in half ( 7.5) in order to get the true space needed. I have about 10 feet total one way.

The 15 is the diameter, half of that would be the radius. The pool is 15 feet across and 42 inches deep. Too big for your stated varea.
