How do I measure for an english saddle pad?

I have draft horses, and have bought a wintec wide english saddle. No plans on jumping or much of any competing.. just simple riding. How do I figure the size pad to go with this saddle to cover my broad drafty backs?

Take the saddle with you to a tack shop and let them help u.

I would use your seat size and the gullet width.  So, you have a 17" wintec Sport extra WIDE.  You take that into your favorite tack store and tell the that and they should help you select the size of pad you'll need.

To measure the seat size for your wintec, start at the button below the pommel and with a measuring tape, start there and then go to the center of the cantle.  That will give you your seat size.
