I have a new fish tank. I know that you have to do LxWxH/231 = Gallons but my tank is a circle? Does anyone know how figure out the gallons.

Thanks in advance!

  1. here use this calculator...  scroll down to the 2nd calculator for circle tanks.

  2. Take an empty gallon milk carton, fill it with water and dump it into the aquarium, repeat. See how many times you can do that, that's how many gallons fit in your aquarium.

  3. you can get the voulme of the tank by first getting the area of the cicrle

    3.14 * radius*radius = area of cirlce

Then multiply this by the height of the tank, then divide by 231 to get the volume in gallons.
