I have old t shirts that I don't wear so I was wondering how I could make them more fashionable. I know you could do things like make halters out old t shirts so I was wondering how to do something like that. Or more of a like, punk rock look. Any ideas? And nothing that requires good sewing skills cause Im not too great at that.

  1. Here are some idea about your old shirts that can earn you some extra money, then you can use the money to buy new clothes that may be more to your liking.  This way your old clothes can be reused and bring joy to somebody else and will not go to waste. Here are my suggestions.

    1. If they are in good shape you can sell them over EBay!

    2. Second hand thrift stores will buy them.

    3. Have a garage sale.

    4. Sell to a friend that does flea markets or sells used clothing.

    5. Sell to your friends.

    6. If any of it fits me or may family, I may be interested in them! :) (I am serious!)

Here are some good solutions that will not earn you money.

    1. Give to a friend or relative.

    2. Give to a charitable thrift store.

    3. Give to a church.

    4. Give to a homeless shelter.

I hope this helps, but whatever you do. Please do not throw them away even if they are not in the best of shape!! There are already too many nice or still wearable clothes rotting in landfills. :)

If you cannot find anyone to take them then drop me an email and I may be able to help. We are always looking for used clothes or sneakers for our family. If they fit us we may buy them off of you. If they do not fit us, then maybe we can find somebody who will take them. I hope this helps and please read my profile if you have any more questions. :)

  2. If they're too big, you can always take them in to make them more slim fit.

Also, you could change the neck line and turn them into v-necks.

If anything, you could probably check out a book on how to sew/change old t-shirts into other pieces of clothing,  or look online for instructions on how to do it.

    Here's a book:

It might be best to use a sewing machine, because you'll get a straighter line and a tighter stitch [as opposed to using just a needle and thread].

    Good luck.

  3. Lots of badges, safety pins, a few rips here and there.

Patches of denim ironed on (you can buy denim iron on patches from most craft stores), few bits of glittery glue spelling out different messages...all sorts =)

you could get some blow paints (theyre like pens full of paint) and blow loads of random colored splodges on. =) that would look cool.
