How do I move to New Zealand?

I and my family would love to move from the US to New Zealand, however none of us currently have or want to get a job. We have enough to support us for years and need some advice on what our choices are.

Have you thought of taking a long holiday there just to get a taster?  In 6 months you could take in the whole Country and see which part suits you (or not).

NZ is a very long couple of islands with the South almost in Antarctica and the very North sub-tropical.

It's pretty easy to find good rented accommodation in and around the bigger Cities.

the south island is nowhere near almost being in Antarctica by the way!!!!!! the closest port to Antarctica is actually in south America
