How do I not be nervous for my driving test?

I'm taking my driving test tomorrow and I'm really scared! I already took it two months ago but failed and I'm pretty sure it was because I got nervous. How do I stay calm while I am taking my test?

  1. It's natural to be nervous :)

Most driving examiners are really nice though and will do everything they can to be friendly and put you at your ease.

Just remember to go to make sure you have everything you need to take with you put in a safe place before you go to bed tonight (both parts of your provisional licence, your Theory Test cert and your test appointment letter), wear sensible shoes, have a light snack before you go out for your test, go to the loo before your test, concentrate on what the examiner has asked you to do and then just drive as well as you do on your driving lessons - your instructor thinks you're ready and you can pass and they should know what they're talking about!

Above all, if you make a mistake, DON'T DWELL ON IT AND DON'T ASSUME WHATEVER YOU'VE DONE HAS MEANT YOU'VE FAILED - most mistakes are nowhere near as bad as learners think they are, but LOTS of people let worrying about a minor mistake affect the way they drive for the rest of the test...

Good luck...fingers crossed for you :D

  2. Meditate?

Oh, I think you failed because you weren't listening to Green Day.

  3. Just remember how you have done the stuff a ton of times before, just imagine the DMV person isn't there and do what you know you can do.

  4. have a few beers before your test haha
