Question:

How do I not let a vindictive coworker get under my skin?

I work with someone who has made it her life's mission to s***w with me. I was friendly with her until she turned nasty, and have done my level best to keep things professional. Nothing has worked. The boss has no idea how to handle this; he keeps asking me what I want him to do, and saying we two should just work it out on our own. Even pointing out things she's done that have hampered my work hasn't moved him. I can't go over his head, because it's a small company. He's not going to help me. He doesn't know how. Meanwhile, she's incredibly manipulative, and really really good at getting under my skin. I need some advice on how I can stop letting her get to me. Should I just ignore her? Give up on eating lunch with the group? Please help. She's driving me crazy.

  1. I wouldn't give up eating lunch with the group, If you do that she will think she has won. The best thing to do is just to ignore her, I have been through a similar thing with someone in work. And its hard because you spend so much time there but if she see's you getting upset then she will carry on.

In the meantime just tell your friends in work that she is upsetting you so they know that if she says anything about you to them its false.

    Hope that helps

  2. Ignore her.
