  1. How long have you been on crutches?

You might be just stressing yourself, OR exerting yourself in ways that your body isnt used to.

Are you in pain when you try to do so?

Sweating is NOT a bad thing!  Besides, it means your body is BURNING calories!  Thats a good thing!

  2. Crutches are a different workout than most people are used to. We  support ourselves with our legs, so crutches are a big change since we have to support ourselves with our arms. Your body might just need time to build up muscle in order to support it. Also, if you want to minimize sweating, put on deodorant before bed. While your sleeping, you will absorb the deodorant and sweat less the next day. I use this trick alot and it actually works.

  3. Crutches is something that takes practice and patience.  The more that you use them, the easier they get.  You are using mostly upper body strength when swinging on crutches where as normal walking is natural.  And, being new to them, you could be a little stressed.  Try to relax  Check my profile and avatar and if you need anything else feel free to email.

  4. It took me a couple of weeks of crutching before I could walk far without sweating. Your body will soon adjust to the work-out you are giving your arms and shoulders
