How do I open a PDF file on a Windows 2000 computer??

Question

Whenever I try to open a PDF file I get a bunch of weird symbols. What am I doing wrong? Please answer in regular human language I am not computer savvy. lol

Download and install Adobe Reader.

It depends on what software you have.  Right mouse click on the pix. Then click on "open with".  It will give you a list of options to open the pix with.  If you see "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" in the list, click on that and you should be able to open the pdf.

Windows is trying to open the ".pdf" file with the wrong application, probably NotePad.

Get the free Foxit PDF Reader from:

Once installed, it will "associate" itself with all PDF files.

TIP:  It's faster and safer than Adobe Acrobat Reader.
