How do I open a RAR. File on my computer?

Question

I just downloaded a rar. file on my computer, and I do not know how to open it.

Every time I try to open it using right click, it just says try to find the appropriate program online. I have no idea where to go from there.

Is there any simple way to open it? The rar. file contains 11 albums of songs, if that makes any difference.

You need to download and install Winrar to open zip or rar files.After downloading, the file should turn into a rar archieve and you can right click and and click Extract All or Extract to whereever you want to extract it.

youre going to need to go to google and download winrar to be able to open it. rar is a compression file that most computers dont have programs automatically installed to open. winrar is free, unless you want to pay, i think its just a trial or something. you can uninstall it when youre done.

I assume you're not pirating music there? Just use your regular archiver to extract the data, such as 7-Zip.

Download and install Winrar.
