  1. Try going to your nearest Container Store and get the elfa storage kits.

Totally worth it and too only keep the clothes that you wear all the time and sale the rest in a garage sale so it can help you buy the elfa storage kits.

Here's a website of the Container Store- Good Luck!

  2. u could throw away the things that u dont want which will elimate all the jumk an dthen just neatly fold everything and put it away

  3. If you have enough room on the back wall of your closet or in your room, use a dresser for undies and clothes for athletics or vegging. Anything you wouldn't wear to school or work normally. Sort them so each item is always kept in the same drawer.

As for the things you do wear to regularly, separate into seasons. Tanks together, short sleeves together, long sleeves together then sweatshirts, jackets then coats on one rod. Hanging sweaters leaves hanger points in the shoulders which will make you look like you have horns on top of your arms. Try to fold sweaters and put them into a dresser or on an upper shelf. On the other side of your closet, or on a lower rod (which is easier to pick outfits from), do the same with bottoms - shorts, skirts, jeans, lightweight pants, then thicker pants like courds. Hang dresses and long items together. Just dress for the temperature.

When you hang the items up, turn the hanger backwards.  Next time they are laundered, you will naturally put the hanger back in normally.  Next time you go to clean out your closet, you will know exactly what you haven't been using by the direction the hanger is hanging. Make sure to do this each time you clean out your closet.

At least for now, I would just use floor space for shoes. Line them up in rows. Maybe later get some behind the door show racks, or specialized racks.

If you really like accessories like bags/purses/totes, try to find one of those sweater shelves or the daily organizers made for little kids to hold your bags. For jewelry, use a jewelry box or you can make great racks by taking 2 empty picture frames (no glass or backing) and tacking fishing line in stripes about 2 or 3 inches apart for necklaces and clasp bracelets in one and tacking mesh screen (like window or door screen) in the other for earrings. You can use hot glue or thumb tacks. For belts, scarves and bangle bracelets, use pants hangers. They make wooden ones where one end snaps in and out of place and modern metal ones with black foam that look like regular hangers with one side missing so the bottom is a single bar. Use 1 for belts, 1 for scarves, and 1 for bangles. Use more if you need them

It is too hard to keep things sorted by color long term.

Once you are able to keep them organized like this for a while, it will become apparent when you need another specific organizing solution. You will know exactly and specifically what you you want to change and be able to find a solution that works.  There are a lot of great systems out there, but don't lay out a ton of money in the hope that it will work.

    Hope this helps,
