How do I overcome my fear of rollercoasters?

I'm always scared that the roller coaster I ride will fail, crash, and get me killed or permenently disabled.

I live in LA, and every now and then I hear a story of a roller coaster failure at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

By the way I'm 15 and about 5'4.

  1. Okay, first of all, don't think about all the failures and such. If you are with a friend or something, tell them about your problem. Ask if they can go with you to the rollercoaster. Just think in your head," I'm not scared, this is going to be fun and exciting!" Pretend it is a dare maybe. Try kiddy roller coasters first at some other theme park. Go to Knots Berry Farm and ride the Jaguar. IT IS SOOO FUN and THERE IS NO LOOPS, just straight and non-dizzying! :] lol hehe well this might not help, but at least try one of these. lol :] Good Luck!!!

  2. A failing roler coaster? Like that can happen a lot. Are you afraid to be in a car? Well a car is way more dangerous. Just try it! After you go on ounce you'll be ready to do it again
