Ok. Well a few years ago in 6th grade I was really popular and I was very outgoing and then something happened to me in grade 7. I just became really shy. It took me towards the end of the year to become my old self. Same story in grade 8. I'm going into highschool now and I wanna have more friends (I have quite a few) and be able to talk to them. I'm shy around people who I just meet, but with the people who I know I am sort of quiet and not as outgoing? Can it be my confidence? Please answer and help me feel better about myself. Whoever makes me feel better gets 10 points :)

  1. it is your confidence probebly. in 6th grade you were younger, and more outgoing like u said. btu as you matured you noticed different things, mabe liek girls. in 6th grade you probebly wenrt shuy around them becasue you wenrt very interested, but now that your older and like girls you want to impress them and you get shy becasue you dont wanna do somethign stupid. jsut try being yourself, try going up to people and jsut saying "hey, wats up? how are you?" or somehting, that how you make freinds :) also hang out with your freinds freinds to make new freinds!!

    hope i helped!!

  2. i doubt it's your confidence. it's more likely to be your hormones at this age. the start of puberty and changes to the body inside and out. the brain chemistry is now rapidly evolving so your brain is different. couple that with change in social heirachy (going from primary to high school - from big fish in a small pond to a small fish in a big pond) and new environment and you get your problem.

give it some time and you should find you'll be yourself in no time. you just need to get used to your new environment and new way of doing stuff and you'll be fine.

    good luck with everything.
