How do I pack and unpack for college?

Okay, so I'm pretty confused about what to do, since the good time's fastly approaching.... What do I do to get all my stuff to my dorm? Do I pack them in boxes and just one at a time bring them in the dorm, unpack, then just cast the boxes away? That sounds pretty lame. Or is there something else? Because I'm heading for a college across the country soon. (And I haven't got any relatives in California--the closest in Chicago)

  1. Take as many boxes as you can in one go and ask someone with a big car to drive them for you....

All in all if you are planning on going home a lot then you shouldn't really need to take too much (remember you have to bring it all back) .... however if you are only coming back at the end of the year then take quite a bit...

Asks your parents and other people for what they suggest

  2. Think about it like going on vacation for a year.  No matter what you take, your going to forget stuff, you'll never use half of what you take and somehow you'll manage to accumalate twice what you ended up with.  So keep it simple.  If you are like the norm college kid, you'll do shopping through out the year and spend too much in the college on-campus store right off the bat.  Take what you know you will need, but keep it simple.  You'll be doing yourself a huge favor.
