How do I pass the time until my vacation?

I am really excited to go on vacation to the beach. This year my whole family is coming and it is going to be amazing. :)

But it's still only a little less than 5 days away (we don't leave until Saturday morning). I am really bored around the house. I am lucky that I got on the computer now, because my brother and sister always wake up early and hog it. Besides, the computer gets boring after a while.

I can watch movies, but, again, it is only fun for a little while.

Today has already gone so slow. It feels like I already should be sleeping! How do I pass the days until I go away?

Go for a bike ride, I like to pass time doing that. Read magazines, or talk on the phone. Myself, I cleaned house, but thats not everyones thing.

Why stay around the house and be bored?

How about a trip to your local library to check out some great books to read at the beach?  You might try mysteries, science fiction, sports ... whatever you like to read.  Or try something new - a new author you have never read, a different genre than you usually read.  Or DVDs or Cd's to learn a new language?  You could study up on the history of the area you will be visiting or marine biology of the beach.  When you like to read, you may never be bored again.

How about spending some time in your own community on volunteer work?   Depending on your interests, there are innumerable good organizations that feed the hungry, help neglected animals, clean up trash from the environment, visiting home bound people or nursing home residents...  Some organizations need volunteers' time.  Some need money.

We only have twenty-four hours in each day.  Wasting any is such a shame.  Time is the one thing that we can never get more of.
