How do I perform a split?

I've been taking brizilian juijitsu, and I thought it would make it easier if I could stretche my legs further. Juijitsu requires a lot of flexibility, and I wanted to be able to perform a split in just a month. What excersises can I do, and how often should I do them to achieve a split in just a month?

  1. Well unless your already very close to being able to perform a split its going to take more than a month. I was an unflexible brick when I began working my flexibilty. I would do a butterfly stretch for 5 minutes while watching T.V. every other day. After a couple months I made huge improvements. Now im able to pretty much do a full split. It will take time and dedication though.
