I'm currently working in a lab, and I would like to stay for August. Since English is not my first language.... I really need help on phrasing this request, to make it sound smooth and polite.

Thanks!

  1. I would like to stay in the laboratory for August to help out, if that is okay.

  2. Are you writing them a letter of request or are you going to tell them in person?

If you are going to tell them in person, you can say something like,

I have been enjoying working here with everyone for the past few months. The working environment is great and I have learned so much. So, I would like to know if it's possible for me to extend my stay here at the laboratory for one more month...

You know, I think you are doing fine though. As long as you show appreciation towards your work, and courtesy at your tone, you will be ok!!

    Hope this helps.
