  1. Yes,this is very important. There's alot of junk out there.Very cheap guitars are hard to play.If you're serious about this you may want to go to a music store(not walmart)and actually talk to someone who has knowlege about guitars.Goodluck!

  2. Go to Guitar Center. They have a wide collection of Guitars. Get him an Ibanez beginners pack. it come with a Ibanez guitar, amp, cord, and and picks.

  3. Go to Guitar Center.

They have sell bundle guitars that includes.case, amp, and the guitar for a very good price.

  4. I've played many guitars and can tell you one thing, don't buy a Squier! Think about spending more money and buying a guitar that will last for years. Yamaha Pacifica 112 would be a great choice, it's got 2 single coil and one humbucking pickup so you can pretty much get every sound you want.

  5. go to a guitar store that is next to you and ask for a Squire Stratocaster with his favorite color then ask get him a 5 or 10 watt amp. It'll cost you around $200 - $300 but it'll be worth it.
