How do I pick up a money order from wal mart?

I asked someone I know for money. they went to walmart and bought a money order. do I go to walmart and pick it up? after that, will they charge a fee for me to cash it?

I know this sounds stupid but I have only received a money order once before this. it was 3 years ago.

The person who bought the money order should give it to you.

You don't have to cash it at a Wal-Mart. You can cash it at your bank or at any other place that cashes money orders (grocery store, etc.)

You have to go to Wal-mart and pick it up assuming it was wired to you.

If a physical check was issued, then you need it sent to you.

Once you have the Money Order in your possession you just take to wherever you cash your normal checks and cash it the same way.

If they bought a money order at Wal-mart, they left Wal-mart with the money order in there possession.  You get the money order from whoever bought it.

Net Advisor has just proven the 'Top Contributor' badge has NOTHING to do with quality of answers.  In addition to proving he has NO IDEA what a money order is, he seems to think Wal-mart wires money.
