  1. you could contact your local newspaper to put in an ad, thats what people near where i live do and you could make a flyer yourself like on the computer or handwritten and post it around your neighborhood or you could make a builtein or blog on the internet.

  2. i think craigslist will be good.  for services offered, and they have a gigs section too.

    www.craigslist.org

  3. ahah

  4. go to your newspapers website and you can probubley find how to there. also, if your neighborhood has a newsletter you could place an add ther as well! :D

  5. What do you mean how. You go directly to your local newspaper HQ or even over the internet, (if your local paper has that capability), and tell them you want to place an ad in the classifieds under jobs wanted.

You can also place an ad in the phone book, and fliers.

Honestly though, those things might help a little,  but mostly are a waste of time and money for an up and coming DJ.

The best way to get jobs, is to build up a rep. and business clientele,

(people who will refer you to other people.)

Start to work for a reputable DJ company. Do small local gigs for schools, churches, summer camps, stuff like that.

Get to know established DJs, and become an apprentice/intern for club DJs and radio stations.

You may have to work for peanuts or even for free for a while, but you will make important contacts, network, and get training and experience.

I would offer my services for other kids parties at your school, other highschools, and college campuses. Have business cards and flyers with your info on them and pass them out at whatever function you do. Trust me.

People will start to call on you very soon.

Oh, most important...have a gimmick and a DJ nick name ready. Something that fits your personality and style.

  6. craigslist

  7. Here is a FREE place to Advertise Your Website - Business.

    http://createinfo.com/

Plus they DON'T make you put a link to their site on your Website!

  8. -Post blogs and bulletins on a myspace

-You should make of video of your djing skills, (or whoever is the dj) and post it on sites like craigslist, myspace, blogger, etc.

-Make a simple ad and print out numerous copies with a professional printer. Then advertise toward the crowd you want to advertise toward. If it's for adults, then clubs, cafes, bars, etc. If it's for teens, then arcades, roller rinks, bowling places, etc.
