  1. I suggest buying a guidebook in a book store, or go on travel guide websites.

I recommend going around October. Summer is so hot, humid, rains all the time, and there are lots of mosquitos in Japan and if you're going to be there for the first time, your first impression of Japan would be ruined (I promise). Summer rainy season is around May through July. Then August becomes humid-hot month. I suggest you go in summer after you've visited there a few times in other seasons. October is not too cold and not hot so it's one of the best time to visit.

If you want to see cherry blossoms, it happens for only a brief period of time (about 1 week) between the end of March and beginning of April. But if you have allergies in spring time, you'll suffer a lot.

If you can stand cold (since you're from Canada), you'll enjoy winter in Japan as well. Spending New Year's in Japan is pretty fun.

Again, I suggest looking it up on a guide book or websites. Good luck!

  2. With your parents since your only 16.
