If I burn jpeg (or other image file types) onto a blank DVD disc, will it play on a regular DVD player? If not, how can I do this?

  1. yew may have to find the right codec...but it should work by just copy it to it..but format it first

  2. Yes it should. Just make sure you're using a dvd that is compatible with most dvd players. I think that would be dvd+r. When you try t put your photos on the disc, the program that you use comes into play. If you have Kodak Easy-share it should not be a problem. Now hp had a program called Memory disc creator or something like that, and that program just about does it all for you. But, it records in the VCD format. The only player out there that will play back a VCD disc is a Sony. So as long as you are not recording in the VCD format any dvd player should playback your disc. Make sure you "finalize" the disc after burning it (some burners do this automatically) otherwise they won't pay in other machines. You can also use Windows Movie Maker as well. You can add music to the slide-show too.

  3. to make the photopraphs played like a video on DVD player, I personally make a powerpoint presentation with the photopraphs firstly, and then burn the powerpoint presentation to DVD with a ppt to dvd burner. well, i think this is the easiest way for me, others may have better ones.

if you would try my way, you can use moyea ppt to dvd burner as me, it offers free trial version.

  4. You can use software to create slideshow DVD's.

Nero PhotoShow is one of the best slideshow software available. You can download a free trial.

Ulead cd and dvd picture show 4 is also highly recommended.

Roxio's PhotoSuite would be another alternative, however Roxio does not match Nero's popularity.

Windows PhotoStory 3 is a free alternative if you have XP.

Windows Movie Maker is another free choice, which is not all that bad, although there are many more features in the above choices.
