How do I politely tell my friend that I honestly have no extra money to spend? At all?

Tonight, I'm talking to her on AIM like I have been doing usually, at least lately. And I have to try to explain to her that I have NO extra money to spend on anything.

Ah i have this problem, because of school hols - i spend more money lol, i'm just honest with my Friends, or you you suggest something to do that is free x

Easy, just say it like you just did asking the question. There's nothing wrong with not having money, extra or not.

say you need a raise at your job if you got one. i just say it like. ..im broke. you should be the one lending me money cause they dont pay me enough.

money is a hard subect but if you just don't have it you just don't have it and your friend should understand that.
