How do I post pics from memory card online ?

I have a slot in the front of my computer for my memory card. Instead of getting discs made I want to use the memory card to put them straight into the computer. How do I get to the pics once it's in the computer slot?

Well first of all there are many kinds of memory cards and they do no all fit into one memory card slot. Can you give us info on what kind of memory card it is. There should be something written on one side of the card. If the slot and your memory card are not compatible you won't be able to detect the card.

But if they are you can go to My Computer and see whether it has detected the card or not. Be sure you have inserted the card in the right way. If you have you should see a new removable device that will again be named with a letter. Just double-click it.

If not then most likely you do not have the  needed slot and you'll have to buy a memory card reader.

XP: open my computer

double click on your memory card

make a new folder in the desktop called "memory card photos"

copy the contents of the card into the new folder.\

mac:double click the memory card

copy the pictures into a folder

a message should come up saying thhat you have put it in and give you the option to import and it will save into pictures if no message comes up something is wrong with it or its in the wrong slot so is that happens just call dell or your computer provider
