My daughter will two this month. we got her a potty a while ago. she sits on it when we go to the bathroom. so last week I started getting her to actually go on it when she wakes up because I know she will have to go. other than that I don't know what to do.

  1. I started potty training my daughter at 13mths, just putting her on after sleep, taking it slowly and teaching her the words she needed to ask and then basically let her lead from there. She was doing quite well but at 16mths totally went off it, asked or wanted her nappies and I backed off rather than got stressed and waited for her to start asking again, which she did, and then at about 22mths something just clicked and she has been 100% nappy-free with no accidents for about 5 weeks now.

So it sounds like your on the right track. Let her take the lead. I got to a point where I wondered what the next step should be but she did it herself. Your just starting so take it one day at a time for now. Just remember to do MASSIVE praise when she goes....I still have to clap and jump around whooping! lol
